About this product

NAGA means Cobra in Sanskrit. The grandeur name was chosen for this macrame bag as we took inspiration from the divine shape of the Indian & Egyptian woven cobra snake charmer basket.

NAGA in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, is a member of a mythical semidivine being, half-human and half cobra. They are a powerful, charming species that can assume either wholly human or wholly serpentine form that can be dangerous but often beneficial to humans. We hope that this bag can be a translation of how much power we carry in our hands, and how we can use it to empower each other.

This bucket bag is made with hand-dyed macrame cotton ropes in the sweetest candy pink color by our female artisan community in Java, Indonesia. It takes at least around 80 hours to make each bag, and this project helps to provide jobs and security for the artisans in this region.

The Artisan

BrunnaCo is deeply rooted in Balinese culture and tradition. For Balinese people, nature is the source of life. Nature nurtures us, therefore it’s paramount for us to treat it respectfully. We believe that nature is something mystical that evokes peacefulness and establishes balance in life. Based on this belief, every design & creating process starts with admiration towards our natural resources, the idea of preserving, and giving back to our environment. Only selected plant-based and responsible materials are considered into our creative process; namely, natural straws & fibers, bamboo, organic fabrics, upcycled, recycled, and dead-stock materials.

Shipping & Delivery

Every piece ships straight from the hands that made it — the maker's own workshop or studio. Because each item is individually crafted and packed by the artisan, you may receive your order in separate packages. We think that's part of the charm.

Returns & Exchanges

We want every piece to feel just right. If something isn't, most items can be returned within 30 days — unused and in their original condition. Some of our makers have their own return policies, and we honor those with care. Reach out and we'll make it right. We've got you!
