The True Meaning Behind The Arnoldi Pattern

Our Arnoldi pattern is created to inspire us to embrace our individuality. Despite its stunning beauty, Rafflesia Arnoldi is actually a parasitic unisexual flower with a strong odiferous smell to attract blowflies as their only pollinator. It is a short-term bloomer that’s known to be a very shy, temperamental, and difficult species to grow. So difficult that even Singapore's Botanic Gardens has not yet succeeded in growing its own. But all these unique characteristics only make the Arnoldi flower even more special and rare.

This Arnoldi collection is dedicated to those who are labeled as different, difficult, and the list goes on. Sometimes we allow these labels to block our true potential. With this collection, we want to make it clear that sometimes we don’t have to fit in and it’s wonderful to be different. We are our best selves when we love ourselves and all of our flaws because that’s what stands us out from others.

BrunnaCo is deeply rooted in Balinese culture and tradition. For Balinese people, nature is the source of life. Nature nurtures us, therefore it’s paramount for us to treat it respectfully. We believe that nature is something mystical that evokes peacefulness and establishes balance in life. Based on this belief, every design & creating process starts with admiration towards our natural resources, the idea of preserving, and giving back to our environment. Only selected plant-based and responsible materials are considered into our creative process; namely, natural straws & fibers, bamboo, organic fabrics, upcycled, recycled, and dead-stock materials.

Every piece ships straight from the hands that made it — the maker's own workshop or studio. Because each item is individually crafted and packed by the artisan, you may receive your order in separate packages. We think that's part of the charm.
